Upon arriving with her family in Cornwall, Vermont in 1986, Judy Beaney became immediately involved in various aspects of the community. Judy holds a BS degree in Art Education and M.Ed in Arts Integration. She has taught art in both public and private schools in New Hampshire and Vermont while giving her time and expertise to various community organizations. Judy has been recognized by the Addison Central Supervisory Union, Middlebury College Museum of Art, Vermont Alliance for Arts in Education, and the Vermont School Boards Association for her continuing efforts to promote the arts throughout the Middlebury community.

Judy is an artist member of the Chaffee Center for the Visual Arts and a Signature Member of the Vermont Watercolor Society. Her artwork has been exhibited in New Hampshire and Vermont and is in private collections throughout the country. Judy donates artwork to support charitable organizations such as the Addison County Hospice Arts Auction, VT Diabetes Foundation, The North Branch School, and the Middlebury Town Hall Theater.

Judy teaches art classes for aspiring artists of all ages at her Cornwall Creative Encounters Artists’ Studio.

When not helping others create their own works of art, Judy enjoys using watercolor, oil paints, and other mediums to “try to create something extraordinary out of the ordinary”.
