I began pursuing my life-long interest in art after retiring from a career in
music teaching and performance. Many fine oil and watercolor teachers
have helped and encouraged my endeavors during the past few years,
including Steve Lampasona (Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn),
Susanna Spann (AWS, NWS, FWS, and author of "Painting Crystal and
Flowers"), and Don Andrews (AWS and author of "Interpreting the Figure
in Watercolor").
I am currently a member of three local art leagues, in addition to the
Vermont Watercolor Society, where I recently became a Signature Member
(VWS). I regularly exhibit at their shows and at other galleries and
locations, both in New York and Vermont. I am honored to have won
numerous awards for both my oils and watercolor works.
Along with two other winning artists, I exhibited many paintings at a three-
person show held at the Hewlitt-Woodmere Public Library (NY) in the
spring or 2003. I also had two solo exhibits; one at the Jericho Public
Library (NY) in 2001 and one at the Islip Art Museum (NY) in early 2003. I
will be returning to the Jericho Public Library for another solo show next
April, 2005.
