| Ayn Baldwin Riehle
Do you often walk near mossy, lush green woods with giant ferns beside a path, water reflecting the blue of the sky and small patterns of myriad colors? Such walks are the inspiration for this series of paintings. Ayn has a long exhibition history which includes two shows at the Fleming Museum in Vermont, three exhibitions in NYC, and current gallery representation in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands at Bajo el Sol Gallery. Other highlights include: an exhibition at the Flynn Theatre, coordinator of, and artist participant in the first exhibition at the Burlington airport. She has exhibited in two shows at the Helen Day Art Center in Stowe, a solo show at Southern Vermont Art Center, Manchester, VT, 'Envisioned in a Pastoral Setting' at Shelburne Farms and a solo show at Gallery on the Green in Shelburne. Ayn was recently a panelist for the Vermont Council on the Arts and until 1996 the director of the Shelburne Craft School, a former president of the VT Women’s Caucus for Art and a juror for Arts Alive. She lives on Savage Island with her husband Ted in the summer and sails in the Caribbean the winter months.
