An enthusiastic watercolor artist with a strong style. Doris feels her medium blends perfectly with her active lifestyle. She loves watercolor for its easy portability and especially for its spontaneous spirit and sparkling colors.
With her love of the outdoors, it is only natural that most of her paintings are done on site. She also feels that it is important to be closely involved with her subject in order to create a more exciting painting.
Participating often in workshops, working in her studio, doing commissions, and teaching classes, Doris continues to explore the many facets of watercolor.
Doris and her husband, Bill, divide their time between Vermont and Delaware. An active exhibitor and a member of art organizations in both states, Doris has won numerous awards.
