Annelein Beukenkamp is an award winning watercolorist who has always enjoyed art and the creative process. Her childhood, which was spent in the Netherlands, inspired a true love and appreciation for flowers, many varieties of which are now depicted in her works. Other subject matter includes still lifes of edibles and more recently the addition of city and landscapes. Her work has been featured in a National Seafood Catalog, the Fletcher Allen Hospital: "A Celebration of Excellence" calendar, the Regional Affordable Housing Corporation holiday card and Garden Tour poster and graced the cover of the Burlington Free Press Dining Guide on two occasions.
Annelein has studied at the Studio School in Johnson and followed workshops for many years with Mel Stabin the author of "Watercolor, simple, fast and focused". Some of the group shows she has participated in include: The Stratton Arts Festival, Reflections on Basin Harbor, Art in the Round Barn, Art's Alive among others. Her work can be seen in various venues across the state, including the Todd Gallery, Weston; the Deer Hill Inn, West Dover; The Green Mountain Fine Art Gallery, Stowe; the Southern Vermont Arts Center, Manchester; Kaos Gallery, Wilmington; The Chaffee Center for the Visual Arts, Rutland, and several yearly juried shows. Her watercolors are in private and corporate collections worldwide.
